The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Quick tips:

Use elements found in this page as often as you can. Also use same classes if you want to make sure that the site is uniformly designed.

When adding new sections follow this hierarchy: Section, Container (max-width: 85vw)

If you want to be sure that currrent changes that you are making should not break other elements in the site: Add a new class with selector

Always use font: Ppobjectsans

1. Adding elements

2. Changing styles

Important here: When changing styles be sure to check the class of the element. If you want to make sure that these changes do not affect anything else: Add a new class = Combo class.

3. Adding new images

You can freely add images using the image tab on the left.

TIP Here: Are you adding multiple different images for example about articles? Consider using CMS feature

4. Updating text

Generally updating text is "safe" making changes to text content do not affect other site elements with one exception: If element is a symbol, use override fields if you don't want that all the text content changes.

5. Creating symbols

Symbols are a great way to create elements that remain always the same.

Add override fields from element settings

6. Making sure that everything just work

When you've made changes and feel that it looks good: Before publishing to live site: Check the top panel and go through each and every one of those device widths and check that the layout you created works.

7. Publishing

Tip here: Before you publish to "live site" aka fi.gubbe.com. It is a good idea to publish it first to the gubbefi.webflow.io and check that everything works.

1. CMS

CMS is a great way to handle data that is large in quantity. Example use cases: Blog (blog posts and categories in CMS), Gubbe media articles.

If you notice that you are writing similar thing over and over again and using bunch of copy and pase: Consider using CMS

2. Creating pages

With pages always follow the following pattern: Gubbe Navbar, Your Page Content, Gubbe Footer

3. Creating forms

With forms content is extremely important: Name each field correctly with understandable ids.

Form action: default

Always link to privacy policy!

4. Renaming pages and redirecting

Normal case: You are free to rename routes (pages) as you wish and webflow will automatically handle redirections.

Normal but slightly annoying case: You've messed up with redirections which can cause a loop -> Open Project Settings -> Hosting -> 301 Redirections
Delete the one that causes a conflict and add new one. After publishing, it may take some time for the site to update.

5. Project Settings

This is a place you shouldn't touch. Contact Leevi if you need help.
